Cooling System Repair
The cooling system in a vehicle is an intricate network comprising a cooling fan, water pump, thermostat, radiator, heater core, heater valve, among others, working in unison to reduce and eliminate heat from the engine. This system plays a crucial role in maintaining your engine’s temperature and averting overheating. Various components of your vehicle’s engine can accumulate excessive heat. When operating temperatures peak, the thermostat releases antifreeze from the engine to the radiator, initiating a cycle that absorbs surplus heat. This antifreeze also helps prevent other engine fluids from boiling or freezing. Post circulation through the engine, the antifreeze returns to the radiator, where it releases heat via the radiator walls. Here, the cooling fan helps cool the antifreeze, preparing it for another cycle through the engine.
