Importance of Cooling System Maintenance

Antifreeze can degrade over time, diminishing its effectiveness and leading to corrosion if not replaced. During a cooling system flush and fill, our technicians will drain the old antifreeze, cleanse the system, and refill it with new antifreeze. The cooling fan’s role is to move air through the radiator, dispelling heat from the engine. If it fails, the engine risks overheating. In our cooling system service check, we examine the cooling fan and fan belt for any signs of wear or damage. The radiator’s function is to cool the antifreeze; therefore, leaks or hose damage can cause significant engine problems. We use a radiator pressure test to identify any such issues. Neglecting routine maintenance of your cooling system and radiator could potentially lead to costly radiator replacements or extensive engine repairs.
