Starting, Charging & Batteries
The system that initiates and maintains your vehicle’s engine operation is crucial, involving various electrical components. This system is divided into two parts: the starting system and the charging system. The starting system, comprising the battery, starter motor, and starter solenoid, is responsible for igniting the engine. On the other hand, the charging system, which includes an alternator and voltage regulator, manages the distribution of electrical energy and maintains the battery’s charge. When you initiate the ignition process, electrical power flows from the battery through the starter solenoid to the starter motor, sparking the engine’s internal combustion. Concurrently, the alternator fuels your vehicle’s various electrical features, while the voltage regulator ensures a steady electricity supply to each component and keeps the battery sufficiently charged for ongoing operations.
