My battery needed to be replaced. Called AAA for a jump start, called the Manager of Kansasland Tire (Curtis) to setup an appointment ASAP. A new Interstate battery with 750 CCA was placed in my vehicle within 1 hour of arriving at Kansasland! I won't take my vehicles anywhere else for service.

I go every 3,000 miles for oil change and general checkup, even though the synthetic oil would allow for 5,000 miles--my car is old and uses oil, apparently, because they've had to add oil in between changes, several times. But they don't even charge me for these extra things, which I think is a good service. They're always prompt and courteous.

My wife and I both drive from Lawrence just for this shop, and these people who run and operate it. Just call them - anything I need regarding my car, I call them first. In 40 years and across dozens of shops and mechanics, they stand alone - in service, price, helpfulness, willingness to work with me, and honesty. I HIGHLY recommend this location. Curtis and the other associates here are incredibly helpful, trustworthy, and respectful. I had a major issue with my vehicle that I didn't understand. Curtis patiently helped me understand the scope of the issue and what caused it. He also made recommendations that nearly cut my repair expenses and the time without my vehicle in half. I will not take my vehicles anywhere else.

After 2 years trying to get a problem with the track and ABS trouble trouble lights, a problem with my bearings pads and brakes. Two thousand dollars later at the downtown store I made an appointment with Curtis at the Westport store. As of today and another $650.00. I think Curtis got everything fixed that I’ve been trying to get done for two years. I was raised with the Gregg Tire DT Topeka, as several of my family members including my dad worked there for 30+ years. I’ve tried to remain loyal to that store but I’m pretty sure the Westport store is my new go to store. I’m satisfied finally, broke but satisfied!

My daughter was travelling through Topeka and had a blow out. It was about time to get new tires anyway, and this was the only place with 4 new, brand name tires of the right size in their shop. Curtis was great to deal with and got her back on the road quickly.

These men had done work for me before and performed exceptionally! I came to them because I trust them. The first p. ha hose and this one was a blown thermostat housing. They got the repair done when they said they would. They are the mechanics I will turn to when and if in need. This time, July 1st, they worked on ball joints and periferal parts. It was a struggle to the end! The old parts were rusted and frozen together, but they kept at it for quite a bit longer than they expected. They are the best. I felt sorry for them! They are forever my mechanics!!

After having run over something on I-70 the day before and destroying a tire, I made a call to one of the KansasLand stores about getting a replacement. Although they didn’t have one at that store, the one out on 17th street did. When I got to that store, I realized that the tire I needed was one that they had in their display, which the guy there took right off the display, mounted up, balanced and put back on my truck. I’ve been at other stores that told me straight out that they wouldn’t sell me an item that their inventory showed them having but since it was in their display, I wasn’t allowed to purchase it.I’ll be referring anybody that asks me where to get tire or general auto repair or maintenance to KansasLand.

I called and was able to get an appointment the same day for brake pads and an oil change. After looking at my car, the tech told me I didnt need pads right away and could wait a few more months if I wanted to.
